Recycle Your Bike
Pedal Power is part of Furniture Matters – a recycling charity operating in Lancaster, Morecambe and surrounding areas.
Pedal Power is a local organisation that collects unwanted bicycles for renovation. Bikes are stripped down and then rebuilt to order. A range of bikes is available to the public at low cost and can be equipped with racks, mudguards, locks and helmets.
In the last 4 years they have saved almost 37 tonnes from going to landfill. 2766 cycles have been collected and 1021 sold and over 100 adult volunteers have been recruited.
