Getting Around
Our District has more cycle routes than any other place in Lancashire - over 80km. This includes lanes on the highway and a great network of off-road shared use paths. The network is regularly expanding and over the next five years it is expected to increase by at least a third.Take the whole family for a day out using the traffic free paths along the River Lune – south to Glasson Dock and north to the Crook o’ Lune.Use the Lancaster to Morecambe Greenway to visit the Salt Ayre Sports Centre, Morecambe Promenade and Lancaster City Centre.Cycle the quiet lanes of the Lune Valley or for the more adventurous try the Lancashire Cycleway (Route 90) from Dolphinholme to Caton.
This section will tell you all you need to know about cycle routes in the local area, download / order maps and find out what work is planned over the coming months. To find out more use the links on the left hand side.
