Cycling Shorts

Lancaster City Council and the Dukes are proud to bring you Cycling Shorts - short film competition to promote and celebrate cycling and film making in the Lancaster area.

Short films (3 mins max) about the varied aspects of cycling from bmx and mtb, to commuting and family rides.
Documentaries, sports, action and animation are all welcome. Preferably films should depict cycling in the Lancaster District but films showing Lancashire and/or Cumbria are allowed.

What to do:
Films should be sent on a DVD or CD in the following formats - wma, mpeg, mpg, 3gp, avi, mov and mp4 to
Celebrating Cycling, Morecambe Town Hall, Marine Road, Morecambe, LA4 5AF.
Please make sure you include your full contact details.

Alternatively you can upload your film to youtube.com. Once you have uploaded your film go to www.youtube.com/group/cyclingshorts - choose Join this Group’ and then choose ‘Add Videos’.
Once you have done this please send us an email.

Queries should be directed to celebratingcycling@lancaster.gov.uk (please do not send files to this address)
 
• Films should not be more than 3 minutes in length (1 minute for mobile phone films).
• You should keep your original as we may need this for the gallery screening.
• Films should not contain any swearing, indecent images or scenes of violence.
• Films should not contain commercial or copyrighted music and/or content.

Closing date: Friday September 18th

Prizes:
Selected films will be shown in the Dukes Gallery in October (date tbc).
Prizes will be awarded to the winning films in each of the 3 categories.
