Recycle Your Bike

Pedal Power is the cycle project of Furniture Matters - a charitable company operating across the Lancaster district. We collect in unwanted household items, including bikes, and pass on to local people for reuse; recycling where possible all items that cannot be reused whole.

Pedal Power collects unwanted bicycles for renovation. We strip them down and then rebuild them for sale through Furniture Matters’ outlets. We also ensure that a range of bikes are available from basic and affordable to more expensive; which can also be equipped with racks, mudguards, locks and helmets.

In addition to reuse and recycling, we also train people how to ride and repair their own bikes, or we can fix it for you.
